OPEN BURNING IN CLINTON FIRE DISTRICT

 

Open burning within the district of Clinton Fire is regulated by the current ordinance adopted by the City of Clinton.  This ordinance only applies to the district area within the city limits.  The county district is regulated by state law and regulations set forth by the State of South Carolina and the South Carolina Forestry Commission.  The State issues a fire weather forecast to assist in determining the best day to burn.  Below are a list of links that can provide current burning conditions, law/ordinance references, and current active fires in the State of South Carolina.
