Economic Development
The City council created the Clinton Economic Development Corporation in January 2002. The corporation consists of twelve (12) members: the mayor, two council members, the city manager, and eight (8) members from the community.
The Clinton Economic Development Corporation aims to further economic development in and around the City of Clinton and to promote and assist in the growth and development of industry, small business, and residential housing. The principal objective of the Corporation shall be to benefit the City economically by fostering increased employment opportunities and population growth through the expansion of business and industry, thereby lessening the burdens of government and combating community deterioration.
